    Settle in and explore Castelnuovo di Garfagnana. Enjoy the daily Tuscan village life at your own pace. Choose from the many trattorias in town to try some delicious rustic Italian fare, or opt to visit the Rocca dell'Ariosto castle, the local Duomo, or the fortress of Mont'Alfonso d'Este.     After arriving at Pania della Croce, explore the town before starting your hike in the Apuan region. This easy hike takes you through the Tuscan countryside along different paths following a natural stone wall enjoying the view en route. Enjoy a picnic lunch of local produce.     Take in the breathtaking views of historic San Pellegrino. Opt to continue wandering around town, visit the museum, or visit the Sanctuary of San Pellegrino and San Bianco. Alternatively, head off for a 2 hour easy-moderate hike along rolling terrain in the afternoon. Afterwards, travel to meet a local farmer, learn how bread is made, and pair fresh samples with local olive oil. Return to the villa to unwind with a glass of wine.
